Caoimhe Ni Chongaile Irish Officer

Being announced as next year’s Oifigeach na Gaeilge at the SU election results recently was a moment of great pride and joy for me for an array of reasons.

I was also exceptionally pleased to be elected as it means I now have the opportunity to promote Irish within the SU in terms of advertising and events.  The role also enables me to help organise a campaign against the Gaeltacht fees which student teachers are currently obliged to pay.  Making Irish visible and accessible across all the DCU campuses next is truly my primary aim.
